A report released by the Pew Internet & American Life Project indicates we can expect at least one major attack on the Internet within the next decade. This is according to over 1,200 tech experts and social analysts polled, of which 66% agreed that there would be a significant attack on the Internet or on our power grid by 2014. On the privacy front, the possibility that Big Brother will be having an ever watchful eye was regarded as unlikely by some experts polled. Although everyone seemed to agree with the prediction that snooping devices will be more and more prevalent, the report suggests it will be on the personalized marketing front as opposed to the government spy stuff. Finally, the paper also indicates that the evolution of the Blog will bring much change to the media and publishing industries. Of note, this report is not gospel. Just a non-random study. Enjoy.
