If you are looking for examples of cyberspace liability litigation regarding First Amendment and intellectual property laws, check out http://www.chillingeffects.org. This website was created by the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and several law school clinics to act as a database of Cease and Desist notices served to Internet users. You can search the database by date, topic (copyright, trademark, defamation, etc.) and key word. The organization also provides explanations of the Law to aid Internet users in knowing their rights. Specifically, there is a FAQ section following each Cease and Desist notice that highlights the key words/actions and their meaning. In the past 6 months, there were 146 notices posted in the database. Google seems to be the recipient for most of them but the sender list is quite diverse. For more claim example info, use the Claim Examples link under the Search by Topics menu on the left navigation bar of our Blog.
